Dandeli Travel Blog insane

Since this is my first trip blog on this website, allow me to once again extend a warm welcome. Only the account of my trip to Dandeli with pals is left in this piece. To prepare for your journey, read this in-depth guide to Dandeli.

Travel blog for Dandeli: A place close to nature

We are all aware that Dandeli, particularly for rafting, is one of the most well-liked tourist destinations in India. It provides some more water sports besides rafting (Kayaking, boating, natural jacuzzi, and a couple more). The tranquil atmosphere of Dandeli Swimming Pool Resorts is another factor in its popularity.

With more than 280 homestays and awesome Dandeli resorts, Dandeli is home to vast tracts of woodland. And what's this? Nearly every website was sold out when I attempted to reserve a stay for one night there a day in advance.

However, I did locate a modest resort, Dandeli Jungle Resort, and I travelled there with four of my friends. Let's start now.

I went to the website https://kingsresortdandeli.com/ to reserve two rooms for me and my pals at the Jungle Camp resort. About 6-7 distinct resorts are shown on the webpage. The Jungle Camp was one of our last options after doing some research and learning that the majority were already sold out, but I'm glad we chose it.

On an SRS bus, the five of us departed from Dharwad. It took an hour and a half to get there. Like the most of the travel companies in Dandeli, ours had a local office by the bus stop. Here are the top sites to visit in Dandeli Resort, in terms of both transportation and activity.

We had already reserved a package deal that included both our stay here and all the activities. though BINGO! It doesn't come with transportation. After over an hour of haggling in the office, we were able to reduce the cost of transportation overall by more than half. When transacting locally, the price they quote is excessively high.

Therefore, when you go on a trip, bring a skilled negotiator with you.

Travel blog from Dandeli: The journey starts

We actually got a buggy for transportation, so that's why I call it an adventure! The rusty, aged beast lacked doors. The following hour was spent photographing the lovely vegetation and winding roads that passed by. We arrived at our homestay after a 30- to 40-minute ride through the forest.

There were two basic bedrooms with adjacent baths, as expected. Now it was about midday. Therefore, we showered and prepared for the aquatic activities (basically equipped with casual clothes and a phone, nothing else). We disregarded our daypacks.

Activities on the water: Bermuda water sports

The Kali River hosts all aquatic activities. We made the decision to go kayaking first. Our turn didn't come up for approximately 20 minutes. One of my pals questioned whether we could swim since we were wearing life jackets. The supervisor gave us a brief glance.

"One hundred rupees each individual," he then remarked.

I gave him a long look before asking, "Did you put this water here?" He didn't say anything as we later leaped into the river, so I assume he was aware of my impolite response.

Kayaking

Kayaking is enjoyable, although I must admit that it is exhausting. The better your arms are, the better. We three decided to rent single-seat kayaks rather than double-seaters because we were comfortable paddling by ourselves.

There is a time limit for each activity due to the high number of visitors who come for watersports. Kayaking took between 15 and 25 minutes. At first, the constraints disappointed us. However, we soon understood that it takes a lot of time to push yourself with both arms. Really, it's exhausting.

Boating and Natural Jacuzzi

Both of them were grouped together for a good reason: boating takes you to a natural jacuzzi site, and once you use it, the boat returns you to the same location. Boating isn't nearly as enjoyable. We ought should have chosen the coracle ride, which would have allowed us to see the floats in their native habitat.

We just used one rafting boat for our boating. It was difficult to stir it due to the thick rafts. Unlike the kayak, it had trouble maintaining control. If you're just seated here between people, it's terrible.

Zip Line/ River Crossing

We paid extra for this since it wasn't truly included in the package and thought it was worthwhile. You end up on the other side of the river after a zipline drop from a height of around five stories. There was a long wait, like when you go kayaking. Waiting for all of these events will undoubtedly make one cautious.

In order to avoid the line, make sure you arrive outside of peak hours.

However, the present is actually an experience. I've been on a zip line before, back when I was a lot more timid and young. This time, I sprang off with assurance (carelessly really). Do my limbs look loose in the video down below?

Visit Backwaters and Visit Tribal Shop

These two are included as activities in a lot of resort packages. As beautiful as the Dandeli Backwaters may sound, it isn't really. The lighting is decent for photography and portraiture, though. I didn't bother to take any excellent pictures of myself because I had enough of them already.

Anyway, Tribal Shop, regarding the other matter: There is a little store that sells some of the regional organic goods as soon as you exit the Backwaters from the other end. We distributed it.

Dandeli Campfire

You would have noticed the campfire activity included in all if you had participated in some of the resort activities at Dandeli. In contrast to other resorts, we didn't participate in any activities during our time at the campfire. Definitely a campfire. However, nobody asked us to enter the circle.

With a group of males seated around it and engrossed in their phones, the wood burned in the centre. That is correct! Actually, no one was speaking. It was quieter than a library, save from the sound of the firewood crackling.

Morning and Trekking

The campfire activity is included in all of the resort activities at Dandeli, if you have participated in any of them. The campfire during our stay wasn't an activity, which may not be the case at other resorts. A campfire, for sure. But nobody prompted us to enter the circle.

A group of guys were seated around the wood that was burning in the middle, all of them were engrossed in their phones. That's accurate! There was silence throughout. The atmosphere was silent than a library, save for the sound of the firewood crackling.

About Rafting in Dandeli

Make sure that rafting is accessible at the time before you leave for your trip. because rafting was shut down when we got to Dandeli. They said that the water level was low and the dam was closed. Rafting was therefore impossible.

Dandeli is the one location for river rafting that you shouldn't miss, but we didn't go. Anyway, just for the record: Typically, there are two choices. One has a short range and travels around a kilometre. The other lengthy rafting activity spans a whopping 9 kilometres.

Conclusion

Dandeli Resort Packages offers a wide range of options for lodging and entertainment. Selecting might be challenging at times. For a group of friends, the average nightly cost comes to Rs. 3K, but for a family, it's best to spend more.
